Islamabad (TD): Pakistan and the United Kingdom have agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation and deepen ties in various fields.
The understanding was reached during meeting between British Under-Secretary of State Hamish Falconer and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.
The UK is focusing on education and climate change emergency in Pakistan, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan said few days back.
Pakistan is focused on climate issues and revival of economic development in its interaction at the international level. That is a reason that Dar specifically discussed climate change-related challenges in details with the British under-secretary.

They also discussed regional and bilateral issues of common interest.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen the traditionally cordial ties with UK.
In October on the side line of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM2024) in Apia, Samoa, Ishaq Dar had a productive interaction with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy too, expressing resolve to work together for deepening Pakistan-UK partnership and taking it to next higher level.

During the meeting, they discussed wide range of topics including strengthening Pakistan-UK relations across multiple areas of mutual interest.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar had extended a warm invitation to UK Foreign Secretary to visit Pakistan.
