Islamabad (TDI): State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Serbia Damjan Jovic called on Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.
Jam Kamal welcomed Damjan Jovic in Pakistan and said that his visit further improved bilateral ties between Pakistan and Serbia.
Jovic praised Pakistan’s hospitality and invited Pakistan to participate in Expo 2027. He noted that the first-ever specialized expo, themed “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”, will be held in the Balkans.

He said the two countries could explore close collaboration on joint projects under the Expo, while also highlighting opportunities in skilled labour, IT, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals.
Minister Jam Kamal thanked the Serbian State Secretary for the invitation and reciprocated by inviting the Serbian business delegation to participate in Pakistan’s FoodAg Expo – to be held next year in Lahore.
The minister briefed the Serbian dignitary on Pakistan’s strengths, i.e., its status as the fourth-largest milk producer and the vast potential for meat exports.

He said Pakistan could also provide skilled labour in the services sector, such as nurses and IT professionals.
He also praised Serbia’s global achievements in sports, especially in tennis, and expressed interest in exploring sports collaborations between the two nations.
