Islamabad (TDI): Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday met with Dr Samuel Rizk, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Pakistan.
The Finance Ministry said in a statement that the meeting at the Finance Division revolved around UNDP’s ongoing initiatives and public-private collaborations in Pakistan.
During the meeting, Dr Rizk briefed Aurangzeb on UNDP’s projects across various fields, including social development, climate resiliency, energy transition, and digital transformation.

The finance minister hailed UNDP’s efforts, hoping these initiatives will provide well-structured and bankable projects per international standards.”
“The success of such projects relies on proper planning, transparent reporting, and alignment with the country’s overarching development goals,” he noted.
Aurangzeb also praised UNDP for providing technical and financial support in priority sectors.

The minister highlighted the 10-year country partnership programme between Pakistan and the World Bank. It aims to ensure sustainable growth by building human capital, fostering durable private sector growth, and enhancing the country’s economic, social, and environmental resilience
Both parties agreed to continue collaboration and partnership to address the challenges faced by the country.
