Kigali, 19 April 2023 (TDI): Pakistan’s envoy to Rwanda met with the Vice Chairperson of the Private Sector Federation (PSF), Jeanne Françoise Mubiligi.

The meeting was held to increase trade between both countries. Finding new ways to uplift business-to-business ties and invitations to the Textile Expo in Karachi, Pakistan, were also part of the discussion between both sides.

Both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation and discovering new investment opportunities. Rwanda and Pakistan have strong bilateral ties, and exploring new possibilities for trade and cooperation would lead to more robust relations and shared prosperity and growth.

The PSF Vice Chairperson welcomed the invitation to the Textile Expo 2023 scheduled for May 26–28 and showed her eagerness to join this Texpo. She also highlighted the potential for collaboration in the textile and agriculture sectors, citing Rwanda’s growing cotton industry and Pakistan’s expertise in textile manufacturing.

The envoy from Pakistan proposed the idea of collaboration and expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Rwanda’s agriculture sector. He also demonstrated Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability. He emphasized the need to further enhance bilateral trade and boost B2B ties, which will foster people-to-people contact between both countries.

The meeting ended on a positive note, and the two sides agreed to work towards developing a roadmap for increasing trade and investment between Pakistan and Rwanda, with a focus on creating more opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Textile Expo 2023

The Fourth International Textile Exhibition (TEXPO) is going to take place at the Expo Centre Karachi, Pakistan, in May 2023. This event will last two days, from May 26 to 28. The event will be organized under the supervision of Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce.

Texpo provides an opportunity to meet industry specialists from all over the world and learn about the insides of the textile industry. The main goal of this event is to provide a platform for business matchmaking and attract foreign investment in the textile sector.

It is expected that this event will attract a large number of local and international participants, including manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and investors. This event will also display Pakistan’s textiles and leather products to show the latest trends in fashion.

This Texpo will showcase the latest trends and technologies in the textile industry and provide a unique chance for networking. This event is an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs and business owners to explore new markets, establish partnerships, and expand their businesses.
