Beijing, 5 September 2023 (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to China Moin ul Haque inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) on 2 September.
Moin ul Haque said that the Pakistan Pavilion at CIFTIS provided a platform for Pakistani enterprises to present their skills and explore new avenues for trade and investment.
Moreover, he stated that this initiative reflects Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with China and other states by further positioning the country as a hub for service-oriented enterprises in the region.
Representatives from top Pakistani service-oriented enterprises participated in the event, including companies specializing in IT, telecommunications, logistics and travelling and financial services.
Furthermore, the Special Technology Zone Authority (STZA), Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), National Bank of Pakistan, National Logistic Corporation (NLC), Fb Enterprises and others opened their booths to attract Chinese investors at CIFTIS.
Additionally, Commercial Counselor Ghulam Qadir mentioned that traders of handicrafts have established their stalls at the pavilion and showcased their products, consequently drawing in a significant number of customers.
Moreover, he expressed positivism that the involvement of Pakistani companies would help enhance trade between the two countries and increase regional connectivity.

CIFTIS, themed “Openness leads development, cooperation creates a win-win future,” is a significant global trade fair for services, attributing thousands of companies from various sectors and countries.
CIFTIS features a comprehensive exhibition along with nine thematic ones, covering industries ranging from culture and tourism to education and health to finance, environment, telecommunications, computing and information.
