Ottawa, 6 September 2021 (TDI): On Monday, Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa paid homage to the Pakistani soldiers for their resilience during the 1965 war, as the country commemorates its 56th ‘Defense Day’ today.
On the occasion of Pakistan’s Defense Day, the High Commission of Pakistan in Canada ardently paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis who served the country with tremendous courage and exhibited an unwavering sense of duty towards the nation.
Since 1965, Defense Day is celebrated every 6th of September throughout Pakistan, commemorating the day Pakistan’s national armed forces valiantly defended the attack of Indian troops during the 1965 war, despite being lesser in number.
