Islamabad, 10 September 2021 (TDI): Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pakistan, said that the world applauds the evacuation operations of Pakistan for Afghanistan. His remarks came on the occasion of the MoU signing between the Associated Press of Pakistan, Pakistan’s official news agency, and Presina Latina, Cuba’s official news agency.
He reiterated Pakistan’s full support for the Afghan people during this difficult time. He said that the country has opened a ”Humanitarian Corridor” to supply relief goods to Afghanistan. He further added that 250 visas and 85 border crossing NOCs have been issued to foreign media by the External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Reflecting on the bilateral relationship with Cuba, the Minister said that there are many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries and the exchange of information between the countries’ news agencies will further strengthen this relationship.
