Possible solutions to address the complications and challenges faced by Pakistani workers while moving to Japan and during their stay were also discussed. The attendees underscored the importance of collaboration between the governments of Pakistan and Japan to implement these measures effectively.

Over the years, Japan has become a second home for many Pakistanis, who have played a pivotal role in supporting the Japanese economy by setting up successful businesses and creating vibrant communities.

Japan is facing a labor shortage that can exceed 20% by 2024, which makes the situation alarming for an industrial economy like Japan. Japan has been proactively addressing the issue by welcoming more foreign workers, including Pakistanis.

This will not only help Japan overcome its workforce shortage but also provide Pakistani workers with the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience, which they can bring back to Pakistan and use to advance the country’s industries.

It is expected that this meeting will be beneficial in creating more opportunities for Pakistani workers who are willing to move to Japan. On the other hand, this will also help Japan fill the gap. The export of the workforce will help to further foster the ties between both states and establish people-to-people contact.
