Riyadh, 20 February 2024 (TDI): Deputy Minister of Political Affairs for Saudi Arabia, Dr. Saud Al-Sati, held a significant meeting on February 19 with Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the encounter, which focused on strengthening the relations between the two nations and exploring areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Al-Sati and Ambassador Farooq engaged in constructive dialogue regarding the ongoing cooperation and friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

They discussed various aspects of their bilateral relations, highlighting the importance of enhancing collaboration across multiple sectors.

In addition to bilateral matters, the officials exchanged views on topics of common interest, demonstrating the shared commitment of both countries to regional stability and global peace.

Ambassador Farooq’s diplomatic outreach

Ambassador Farooq’s recent activities in Saudi Arabia have showcased Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Kingdom.

On August 2, 2023, he held productive meetings with officers from the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah, focusing on fostering cooperation in consular matters.

Additionally, Ambassador Farooq engaged in insightful discussions with representatives of the Kashmir Committee Jeddah and the Jammu & Kashmir Community Overseas (JKCO).

Aiming to address the concerns and aspirations of the Kashmiri community residing in Jeddah, as well as the ongoing situation in the region.

Furthermore, the ambassador interacted with Pakistani ethnic media based in Jeddah, exploring avenues for collaboration and cooperation to highlight the positive aspects of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia bilateral relationship.

He also addressed the welfare and concerns of the Pakistani diaspora, fostering a sense of community and solidarity.

Furthermore, expressing gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s consistent support to Pakistan, Ambassador Farooq commended the positive role played by the Saudi leadership, including King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, in fostering unity within the Muslim Ummah community and promoting global peace.

He further emphasized that the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is multifaceted, expressing confidence in the continued prosperity of bilateral ties between the two nations, contributing to their mutual interests.
