Washington, 16 September 2021 (TDI): Pakistan’s Embassy in Washington organized a tourism and cultural heritage event. The event was organized with regard to Pakistan’s 75th birth anniversary.
This event aimed to exhibit and promote Pakistan’s rich cultural and tourism diversity. The event was hosted by the Ambassador of Pakistan to the USA Asad Majeed Khan. Ambassador stated that Pakistan is a majestic landscape that presents enormous tourism opportunities.
In his address, Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan also highlighted the government of Pakistan’s efforts in reviving and promoting tourism in Pakistan. He stated that the government of Pakistan is engaged in endeavors of developing the tourism industry via liberalization and investment in visa regime and developing infrastructure. As a result of these efforts, the ambassador continued, Pakistan is recognized as the ‘top tourist destination’ by numerous popular international media outlets such as the British BackPacker’s Society, Conde Nast Traveler, and Forbes.
The guests enjoyed the activities at the event and admired the taste of the cultural cuisines of Pakistan. They also showed keen interest in the exhibited paintings of historical monuments, and cultural artifacts.
Additionally, during the event, the distinguished Photographer Gulraiz Ghauri presented a signature photograph to the ambassador Asad Majeed Khan along with the Press and Cultural attache Maliha Shahid.
