Pakistan Embassy Nepal gifts new building, ambulance to Bharatpur Eye Hospital

Bharatpur, 1 March 2024 (TDI): In a profound gesture of friendship and cooperation, the Pakistan Embassy in Nepal commemorated a significant milestone on March 1, by presenting a newly constructed building and an ambulance to the Bharatpur Eye Hospital.

The event, graced by esteemed personalities including the Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Shri Abrar H Hashmi, and the Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpakamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, signifies the enduring bond and mutual support between the two nations.

Deepening bonds through healthcare

During the ceremony, Ambassador Hashmi officially handed over the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Eye Operation Theater and an ambulance to the hospital management, symbolizing Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering healthcare infrastructure in Bharatpur.

This generous contribution is poised to significantly enhance the well-being of the local community and underscores the importance of international collaboration in addressing healthcare challenges.

He pledged increased budget allocation for the health sector, highlighting ongoing initiatives such as health insurance programs and free cancer vaccines.

The Prime Minister commended the services of Bharatpur Eye Hospital and expressed confidence in its expanded capabilities with the new infrastructure.
