Islamabad, 5 February 2023 (TDI): Pakistan Embassies observed Kashmir Solidarity Day across the Middle East and North Africa.

Pakistani Ambassadors stressed that Kashmir Solidarity Day is an opportunity for Pakistanis and our allies to officially support the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

This day serves as a reminder of Jammu and Kashmir’s ongoing fight for freedom and justice. It is a call to action for the international community to take action.

Pakistan’s Embassies in the MENA region organized many events to emphasize Pakistan’s support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir’s independence. They highlighted the human rights violations by Indian security forces.

Pakistani diplomats and the local Pakistani community assembled to express their solidarity with the Kashmiri people. They raised their voice to spread international awareness of the issue.

Embassies hosted seminars, talks, and cultural events. Diplomats delivered lectures and held interactive sessions with local media and human rights organizations to raise awareness about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Additionally, Embassies showed documentaries to enlighten the humanitarian side of the Kashmir dispute.

They also displayed exhibitions and posters illustrating Jammu and Kashmir’s history, culture, and ongoing struggle for freedom and self-determination.

The Pakistani Embassies utilized the occasion to urge the world community to intervene to resolve the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. They demand that India stop its illegitimate occupation of the region and respect the people’s human rights.

Additionally, they demanded the immediate cessation of the violence and oppression experienced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the restoration of their civil and political rights.
