Islamabad, 6 August 2022 (TDI): Pakistan vehemently condemns recent Israeli airstrikes on Gaza that left many innocent Palestinians injured and dead, including a 5-year-old girl.
Israeli atrocities, illegal activities, and indiscriminate use of force against innocent Palestinians over the years, in flagrant violation of international human rights and humanitarian standards, are emblematic of the most recent escalation of aggression.

Pakistan appeals to the international community to pressure Israel to immediately stop its egregious use of force against the Palestinian people and its gross abuses of their human rights. It is essential to halt the hostility right away.
In an official statement, Pakistan reiterated that the only just, all-inclusive, and long-lasting solution to the Palestinian crisis is the way forward.
Along these lines, the establishment of a viable and independent Palestinian State with pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with the relevant OIC and UN resolutions.
According to Palestinian sources, Israel launched a wave of airstrikes on Gaza on Friday that resulted in the deaths of at least eight persons and the injuries of another 40.
On Friday afternoon, smoke spilled out of the seventh level of a towering building as a detonation could be heard in Gaza City in the wake of the Israeli air strike.
Following the capture of a prominent Palestinian in the occupied West Bank earlier this week, Israel claimed it was targeting the militant Islamic Jihad group in response to an “imminent threat.”
The attacks run the possibility of starting yet another war in the region, which has around 2 million Palestinians who have been subjected to the atrocities of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Tor Wennesland, the United Nations Special Envoy to the region, expressed “deep concern” about the “ongoing escalation” and sorrow over the death of the 5-year-old girl.
