Minsk, 17 March 2023 (TDI): The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan met the Rector of Minsk State Linguistic University to discuss educational collaboration with the National University of Modern Languages.

The two plan to establish a Pakistan Culture Center & opportunities for Urdu courses as well as cultural events.

Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU) is a state institution in the Belarussian capital of Minsk. It specializes in language education and provides instruction in 18 different languages, including English, German, French, and Spanish.

The university also educates foreign language teachers in Russian and Belarusian. It was established in 1948 as the Minsk State Pedagogical Institute for Foreign Languages.

It is now regarded as the flagship university for language instruction and translator training in Belarus.

The National University of Modern Languages in Pakistan was founded in 1969 as an institute to assist people in communicating and understanding each other in various oriental and occidental languages, absorbing different cultures, and serving as a springboard for growing disciplines.

Pakistan and Belarus have a long history of cooperation in education. The two countries have been working together on a variety of projects, including cooperative research projects, and academic partnerships.

Pakistan and Belarus’ strong educational connections are projected to strengthen in the future years as both countries seek new prospects for cooperation and exchange.
