Rawalpindi (TDI): The Pakistan Army team has secured first place at an international military drill competition held in the United Kingdom, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement issued on Friday, the ISPR said the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) team achieved a remarkable display of excellence by winning the top position at the International Pace Sticking Competition 2026, hosted at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK.
The statement added that the PMA team achieved a clean sweep in the contest, winning all major awards, including the 1st Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker, and Best Driver awards.
According to the ISPR, the nine-member team, led by Major Haider Gulzar, arrived in the UK on June 5. A total of 16 international military teams participated in the annual competition.

It said the victory reflects the highest standards of professional training, excellence, and dedication within Pakistan’s armed forces.
Pakistan has previously performed strongly in the same competition, winning it in 2020 for the third consecutive time after first participating in 2018.

Separately, the Pakistan Army has also secured multiple international honours in recent years, including gold medals at Exercise Cambrian Patrol in Wales in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2024, and 2025.
