Islamabad: July 18, 2021 – (TDI): Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft stole the world’s largest military air show with a spectacular appearance at the virtual Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2021, on Saturday. It is held on the third weekend of July each year, With the support of the Royal Air Force charitable foundation. This year, due to the Covid19 pandemic, air forces around the world were asked to send short video clips of aircraft and crew members. Since 2016, the Pakistan Air Force has been participating in the Royal International Air Tattoo. This year, PAF jets demonstrated their skills with 70 other air forces around the world. Pakistan Air Force multi-role fighter JF17 Thunder, Hercules Jet, and Mirage C130 time trial participated in this large-scale event. JF17 Thunder was the main show-stealer of Virtual RIAT 2021, assigned by the PAF multi-purpose squadron. Mirage aircraft also participated in this show which has recently celebrated its 50 years of service in the Pakistan Air Force. Last year, PAF’s JF17 Thunder made its debut at the 2020 Virtual Royal Aviation Tattoo Expo and won worldwide recognition.
