Omani and Syrian officials discuss Bilateral ties

New York, 1 October 2021 (TDI): The Permanent Representative of Oman to the United Nations, Dr. Muhammad bin Awad Al-Hassan held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad.

The agenda of the meeting was to deliberate upon the expansion of bilateral relations between the two cordial countries. Oman and Syria have strong diplomatic and humanitarian ties and both have maintained a healthy dialogue. Both are members of the Arab league. Oman maintains a fully functional embassy in Damascus despite the situation of the country.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. Dr. Muhammad bin Awad Al-Hassan represented his country in New York.
