Oman commiserates with Pakistan

Muscat, 8 October 2021 (TDI): The Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tarik sent a message of condolence and compassion, to the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi. The message was sent on the occasion of an earthquake that struck the Baluchistan province of Pakistan.

The ruler of Oman expressed heartfelt sympathy for the families and victims of the earthquake. The 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck the Harnai region of the province. Rescue efforts and relief operations are in progress, under the guidance of the authorities.

Recently Oman also became a victim of a natural calamity when the tropical cyclone Shaheen struck the coastal areas of Oman.

Oman and Pakistan enjoy friendly and brotherly relations. The warm relationship between the two is strong and encompasses an assortment of fields.
