Nepal’s Foreign Minister meets his Turkish Counterpart

Belgrade, 11 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Nepal, Narayan Khadka meets Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Both sides showed gratitude. The two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interests. The parties discussed topical issues of Nepal-Turkey cooperation. They exchanged views on issues of the regional and international agenda.

Nepal and Turkey established diplomatic relations in 1962. The relations between the two countries have remained friendly, cordial, and cooperative ever since. Kathmandu and Ankara expressed their readiness for further interaction to expand and deepen bilateral relations.

The meeting was held in a friendly environment. The parties stressed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in all areas. They underscore the determination to make full use of existing opportunities in this regard.
