Helsinki, 29 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Finland Pekka Haavisto met with New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta.
New Zealand is a partner with European Union in trade and many other political issues.

Finland and New Zealand are good partners of each other. Also, they have had similar views on many issues like the environment, disarmament, and security issue. Moreover, both countries have good trade relations.
Both sides have discussed their bilateral relations. Moreover, they talked about the Indo-Pacific Region. The challenges that the EU has been facing in the Indo-Pacific regions. The EU’s new strategy requires strong support.
Finland Foreign Minister also talked about EU-NZ Free Trade Agreement (FTA). New Zealand is a trading partner with the member states of the European Union. Foreign Minister of Finland Pekka Haavisto appreciated the unanimous approach of both countries.
