Mexico City, 30 September 2021 (TDI): Mexico has announced its participation in the Dubai Expo 2021. The Exposition counts with the participation of over 190 countries and will be held from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
The Mexican Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, posted a picture regarding the pavilion of the country for the expo, via Twitter. The Minister also expressed the fact that Mexico will be present with pride and dignity. Ebrard took the opportunity to thank those responsible, led by Martha Delgado.
According to the Exposition page, the Pavilion is located in the Mobility Themed Petal. The Mexican Pavilion will include different activities, conferences, artists, and different government leaders.
According to the Government, the goal is to promote a hospitable Mexico, showing it as diverse, creative, and world-open culture. Other goals are to promote Mexico’s image as a tourism power, attract investments, and develop offers.
The Government also mentioned that the Pavillion will link the past and the Mexican proposal for the future. Its concept is the butterflies and flowers of Mexico. In 2020, according to the Economy Secretary, UAE was the 47th worldwide partner of Mexico and the 2nd among the Middle East countries.
