Cambodian King Congratulates China on 72nd Anniversary

Phnom Penh, 30 September 2021 (TDI): Norodom Sihamoni, the King of Cambodia sent a royal message to the president of China, Xi Jinping, on the 72nd anniversary of China’s founding. Norodom sent the message on behalf of the nation and the Royal Family to President Xi Jinping, “all the members of the Communist Party, the State Council, the People’s Liberation Army as well as the brotherly people of China.”

In his message, the King also praised the vision and contribution of the Chinese President for “building a global community of health” worldwide which includes the donation and provision of 2 billion COVID-19 vaccines worldwide by China, in 2021.

Norodom Sihamoni also appreciated the establishment of a Moderately prosperous society or Xiaokang society. He assured his support to China in all matters; he particularly mentioned his support to the One China Policy.

While mentioning the relations between Cambodia and China, the King stressed the continuation of close bilateral relations. He also thanked Xi Jinping for welcoming the Queen Mother and him to China. He honored the friendship of the Cambodian Royal Family with the President and First Lady of China.

The king ended his message with a wish of good health to the President of China and a huge success to the country.
