Washington DC, 21 January 2023 (TDI): The Meridian International will help in the promotion of  closer relations between the United States (US) and Pakistan in the fields of leadership training programs, education, culture, climate change, and business.

In this context, the Ambassador Stuart Holliday, CEO of Meridian International Center has assured Masood Khan, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the US during his visit to the Center.

During his visit, Ambassador Masood Khan pointed out that last year many delegations comprised of Pakistani students, professionals as well as experts visited the US.

He stated that “They in the long run will build bridges between Pakistan and the United States and we would welcome more US students, academics, and businesspersons visiting Pakistan.”

Along these lines, he went on to reiteerate that “The United States is the largest export market for Pakistan and in the years to come bilateral trade is poised to grow and business-to-business ties are increasing especially in the tech sector”.

The Ambassador of Pakistan lauded suggestion put forth by Ambassador Holliday to project the rich heritage of both countries to increase regular cultural exchanges.

Masood Khan also appreciated the Center’s actions for strengthening engagement between the US and other countries of the world through diplomacy, leadership along with culture to address shared global challenges.

Similarly, he observed that increased collaboration in these critical domains will devise new avenues for partnership. In this vein, he further underscored that the prevalent phase of Pak-US ties centers around improving economic collaboration.

He shared that “In recent high-level visits, we have prioritized trade, agriculture, businesses, technology, climate change, green energy, disaster preparedness, environment, health, and people-to-people exchanges.”
