Beirut, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Abdallah Bou Habib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon met with Myriam Ketter, the Belgian Minister of Cooperation to discuss the economic situation.
In the meeting, economic cooperation and advancement between the two countries came under discussion. The significance of giving due attention to the internet and electricity sectors was expounded upon between the two. The issue of Lebanon’s hosting of Syrian refugees and its implications was also highlighted. Furthermore, cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was discussed.
The Lebanese minister expressed gratitude to the Belgian minister for her country’s persistent support. Whereas the Belgian minister promised assistance under the World Food Program. He offered condolences to the victims of the explosion at the port of Beirut.
