New York, 22 September 2021 (TDI): Jordan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs & Expatriates, Ayman Safadi met with the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramtane Lamamra. The meeting was conducted on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. The two counterparts are in New York to attend this year’s session.
During the meeting, the two Foreign Ministers comprehensively discussed business under the umbrella of uninterrupted mutual cooperation. Both the countries have amicable diplomatic relations and endeavor to further strengthen the ties. Matters of mutual interest, regional issues, and measures taken to enhance joint Arab work were also discussed.
The theme of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly this year encompasses the rejuvenation of the UN, refurbishment of sustainability, and respect for human rights. Moreover, the adoption of resilience to recover from Covid-19 is also a feature of this year’s agenda.
