Male, 5 October 2021 (TDI): The State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel met with the Head of Division for Asia Pacific Regional Affairs and South Asia, Ioannis Giogkarakis-Argyropoulos at the European External Action Service.
The State Minister expressed gratitude towards Giogkarakis-Argyropoulos and his team while receiving him today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He applauded the efforts of the European Union for the cooperation with the Maldives in several fields. Moreover, he extended regard from the Government of the Maldives to the EU to initiate dialogues on Partnership and Cooperation Agreements with the Maldives.
Other important matters like counter terrorism, investment and trade advancement were also discussed. Argyropoulos cheered the Maldives for its participation at the Second Senior Officials Meeting held this year in Brussels.
