Male, 5 October 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid extended his greetings to the people and Government of Japan for the provision of grant aid.
Japan provided the aid of 400 Million Japanese Yen for the provision of Sea Ambulance to the Maldives. Foreign Minister Abdulla said that this help will strengthen the bilateral ties.
It will also help the healthcare providers. Furthermore, the aid will assist the Maldives to endorse social and economic development in times of global pandemic.
The Exchange of Notes was signed between the Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Keiko Yanai, and Minister of State of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel.
Japan and Maldives are enjoying warm and heartfelt relations since diplomatic ties have been established between both countries. This benevolent gesture and generosity by Japan have fostered a strong affinity between both countries.
