Maldivian Foreign Minister congratulates Japanese Prime Minister

Male, 4 October 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sent felicitations to Fumio Kishida on winning the elections as the next Prime Minister of Japan.

The Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid sent warm greetings and best wishes to Kishida. As he won the election for Prime Minister this year. He has been elected as the 100th Prime Minister of Japan. Japan and Maldives enjoy a cordial relationship and a strong affinity with each other over a long time period. Both countries stress durable relations through the bilateral exchange. They give special attention to economic cooperation.

Abdulla Shahid aspires to look forward to work diligently with Japan and the newly elected PM to reinforce friendly relations between both states. He desired to build enhanced cooperation in the multilateral sphere.
