The Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered one of the holiest sites in Islam, and this attack on a religious institution violates Human Rights and International Law.

The violent crackdown by the Israeli forces on Palestinian worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan is unacceptable and deeply concerning.

Excessive use of force by the Israeli Defense Forces has resulted in 12 injuries, with many innocent worshippers caught in the crossfire.

Malaysia reiterates its call for an immediate halt to these hostilities and an end to the Israeli occupation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The International community has a moral obligation to condemn the actions of the Israeli government and to call for an immediate cessation of violence.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) must act immediately to bring an end to this violence and to provide protection to innocent civilians. Malaysia extended its support and solidarity to the Palestinian people during these difficult times.

Malaysia called on the international community to work towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict and to defend the Palestinian people’s fundamental rights.

It maintains its long-held view that the Palestinians are entitled to an independent state based on pre-1967 boundaries, including East Jerusalem as its capital.

Malaysia recognized Palestine as an independent and sovereign state in 1988, making it one of the first countries to do so. It has historically been a strong supporter of Palestine and its struggle for independence and statehood.

Malaysia has also been a vocal advocate for the recognition of Palestine in international forums such as the United Nations (UN).

It has provided diplomatic, financial, and humanitarian support to Palestine over the years. Malaysian leaders have regularly spoken out against Israeli policies in Palestine and supported the Palestinian cause.

Moreover, it has also provided aid and assistance to Palestinians, including medical assistance and financial aid to impoverished families.
