Malaysia received COVID-19 Vaccines from China

Kuala Lumpur, 22 August 2021 (TDI):  Malaysia received its first batch of 200,000 single-dose COVID-19 vaccines from the Chinese company, CanSino. The freight reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in the presence of the Ministry of Health of Malaysia (MoH) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

MoH mentioned that these vaccines will be used in the national vaccination campaign, the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme or PICK, initiated by the Malaysian Government.

MOSTI informed that the country has demanded 3.5 million vaccines doses of CanSino to combat the COVID-19 virus. The CanSino batch delivered to Malaysia from China is part of this order. This is health diplomacy derive that China has put forward globally.
