Vancouver (TDI): Pakistan made a bold statement on the global technology stage as a six-member delegation of premier IT companies represented the country at Web Summit 2026, the prestigious annual technology conference being held in Canada from May 11–14.
Sponsored by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the country’s apex body for promoting its IT industry internationally, the Pakistani pavilion was inaugurated by Consul General Shahzad Hussain.
The Consulate General of Pakistan in Vancouver, alongside the Trade and Investment Wing in Canada, is providing active on-ground support, facilitating business-to-business meetings and networking opportunities with Canadian and international participants across the Pacific Northwest’s high-growth tech corridor.
The delegation arrived in Vancouver with a focused agenda: forging new business deals and joint ventures in Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, and SaaS; sectors where Pakistani technology firms have been rapidly building global competitiveness.

The summit, which brings together innovators, investors, and industry leaders from around the world, offers an ideal platform for Pakistani entrepreneurs to tap into the thriving North American technology ecosystem.
The participation underscores Pakistan’s growing ambitions as a serious player in global IT markets. Pakistan’s IT exports to Canada alone reached US$117 million in FY2025, reflecting a robust 21% growth compared to US$96.5 million in FY2024.
It is part of a broader government-led push to expose Pakistan’s fast-growing tech entrepreneurs to international markets, build lasting partnerships, and position the country as a reliable destination for technology outsourcing and innovation.
As the second edition of Web Summit Vancouver, the conference has cemented its reputation as a gateway to the North American tech market, and Pakistan appears determined to walk through that door with confidence.
