Islamabad, 7 March 2022 (TDI):  The President of Pakistan, Doctor Arif Alvi launched a logo today for the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Pakistan. This unveiling ceremony was held in Islamabad.

2022 is the 75th year of the independence of Pakistan, hence the country is preparing for the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations with fanfare this year.

Struggle for Independence

Speaking in the ceremony the President gave reference to the pre-independence struggle. Referring to the current situation and hatred in India against Muslims, Arif Alvi stressed that Pakistan’s forefathers took the right decisions.

Talking about the same hate campaign, he underscored that the ideology of the Two-Nation Theory (more details at the article’s end) has proved to be true.

Not only that but he stressed that the young generation must know the theory’s importance. Furthermore, he said that the struggle for a separate homeland was democratic and sincere.

Talking about today’s Pakistan, the President expressed that he is content about the country going in the right direction.

Celebration Plan

The Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry, Fawad Hussain stated that a comprehensive plan has been prepared for celebrations this year. All national institutes will organize something special.

Formal celebration commencement will be from the military parade on Pakistan Day on 23rd March. Foreign Ministers of the OIC countries will also witness this year’s Parade.

The Two Nation Theory

Simply put, the theory stated that Hindus and Muslims are two separate nations. Ideas, beliefs, practices, religions, cultures of both groups varied. Hence a separate homeland for the peaceful existence of the two was a solution.

Formally after the War of Independence in 1857, this idea was converted into theory. Sir Sayyed Ahmed Khan has the honor of being the Father of this Two Nation Theory.

He was a lawyer and an educationist. He worked for the peace, education, and welfare of the masses of the subcontinent. Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah then together worked for practical implementation of the theory.

It is pertinent to mention that creation of Pakistan was not an individual’s effort but rather a joint effort of great leaders.
