Beirut, 19 January 2022 (TDI): Lebanon Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar was summoned to Jordan upon an invitation from the Jordanian Minister of Social Development Ayman Al Mufleh.

During the meeting, the Jordan Ministry of Social Development and the National Aid Fund briefed the Lebanese Minister on the reality of its services. 

In addition, the meeting focused on exchanging experiences between the two countries, especially about the national strategy for social protection. Also, the extent to which the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs can benefit from the experiences of the mystery of social development.

Mainly regarding files of care, protection, family integration, people with special needs, and accommodation alternatives. Not to mention the mechanisms of work of the National Aid Fund in the field of granting monthly and emergency financial aid.

For this reason, the two ministers also discussed activating the cooperation agreement signed between the two ministries in 2015. This benefits the programs and activities implemented in each of them.

Additional meetings during Lebanon Minister visit Jordan 

Likewise, Lebanon Minister knows about the work of the Al-Hussein Social Foundation. Not to mention the New Hope Center for the Care of Multiple Disabilities, and the Juvenile Care Home activities.

That is why he listened to an explanation of its work and visited the office of the National Aid Fund. Moreover, Hector Hajjar inspected the mechanization programs and viewed a field model, from registering assistance to disbursing it electronically.

Furthermore, Lebanon Minister toured the Jordanian Caritas administration building in Jabal Amman. Monsignor Mauro Lalli, Chargé d’Affairs of the Papal Embassy in Jordan, received him alongside Archbishop Joseph Jbara, Archbishop of Petra. 

Finally, he finished his visit by going to the Baptism Site and the Maronite Church of Saint Charbel in Amman. In there, the Patriarchal Vicar greatly welcomed Hector Hajjar. He also briefed him on the plans for building Saint Maron Church, the Baptism. In addition to the Academy of the Gospel generation and Saint Charbel Garden.
