Beijing, 10 November 2021 (TDI): China and Lebanon celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties. On this occasion, the Chinese President, Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with the President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun.
Xi Jinping’s Congratulatory Message
In his message, Xi Jinping underscored that China and Lebanon have strong relations that have deepened since the establishment of diplomatic ties. Over the years the two have regularly collaborated for mutual benefit. The joint partnership encompasses bilateral cooperation in an array of fields.
China-Lebanon ties
The Chinese President enunciated that he gives great significance to China-Lebanon ties and intends to capitalize on the occasion to consolidate the relation. The two allies have supported each other on issues related to major concerns and core interests. They are an apposite example of mutually advantageous collaboration between big and small countries.
Mutual Political Trust
Whilst talking to the Lebanese President, Xi Jinping reiterated that the two states will continue to augment the ties by mutual political trust and practical cooperation. China will continue to support Lebanon to stabilize its economy, enhance the wellbeing of Lebanese citizens, and against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Reciprocal by Lebanese President
The Lebanese President on his part emphasized that the constructive cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and other fields between his country and China for 50 years; will continue to grow. He appreciated China’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence and, its just cause; as well as its Covid-19 response.
President Aoun expressed that Lebanon values its relationship with China and holds the achievements of China, in high regard. Furthermore, Lebanon looks forward to strengthening collaborative ties with China for the benefit of both states.
