
New York, 28 September 2021 (TDI):Â The Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Phankham Viphavanh delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on 25 September 2021 to demonstrate the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the near future.
Speaking on the United Nations General Assembly bench, Prime Miniter said that as the International community determines to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and take preventive measures it also gives the world the courage to stand for international commitments.
The government of Lao PDR is enthusiastic to welcome scientists of the COVID-19 vaccine from the developed world, who will work all across the globe for the protection of people’s life without any discrimination.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that under these difficult circumstances, the Lao PDR government has continued its efforts to adopt COVID-19 preventive measures and implement a vaccine campaign. Furthermore, as a part of the respective member of ASEAN Lao PDR has made a huge contribution, especially in the context of regional peace and stability and the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
