UNDP training sessions:

Earlier this week, the UNDP Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic held a training session in which representatives from the national and local water management and climate risk management department were present.

The main topic of the training session was to integrate climate risks into water and basin management policies.

The sessions funded by European Union (EU) are part of the project “Climate Change and Resilience in Central Asia”. Accordingly, meetings with concerned departments of states of Central Asia were held.

They also planned strategies for the implementation of policies related to Climate Action. In order to reduce harmful emissions and enhance resilience to climate-induced impacts.

UNDP Missions in different states have tried to build national and local policies in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Climate Action is its 13th but a very important goal.

Consequently, Usha Rao thanked the Kyrgyz Republic for their support. The two parties vowed to work in partnership to cover Climate Ambition as well as inclusive growth in the State.
