New York, 23 September 2021 (TDI): The Kyrgyz President, Sadyr Japarov addressed the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He hopes for peace and stability in Afghanistan after the US military withdrawal and Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.

Kyrgyzstan is not adjoined to Afghanistan but its porous borders are vulnerable to Afghan Refugees. The instability in Afghanistan has a direct impact on Kyrgyzstan. In the past, Kyrgyzstan has suffered recurring political coups and revolutions due to elite, ethnic, and regional divisions.
