Ozonnia Ojielo welcomed the approval of the new Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. The adoption of the “Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain villages ”. In addition, “the integration in the field of climate change”. Ozonnia Ojielo stressed the importance of these initiatives. He expressed the UN’s interest in supporting the efforts of the Kyrgyz side to implement them.
Moreover, the Information on the current activities of the UN agencies is presented at the meeting. The total amount of UN support to the Kyrgyz Republic amounts to $195 million from 2018 to date. The assistance is provided in the field of education and the rule of law. This assistance strengthens the capacity of state institutions and peacebuilding efforts.
