Kyrgyz Foreign Minister received Turkmen Ambassador

Bishkek, 30 October 2021 (TDI): Kyrgyz Foreign Minister, Ruslan Kazakbayev received the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, Shadurdy Meredov.

Minister Kazakbayev congratulated Meredov on the commencement of his term.  Moreover, He assured the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to make every effort to maintain an effective dialogue. He assured cooperation with the Heads of diplomatic institutions of foreign states and representative offices of international organizations in Bishkek.

Kazakbayev also informed about the preparations for the First Economic Forum of the EU – Central Asia. This forum will be held On November 5, 2021. During the conversation, the parties also exchanged views on the prospects of Kyrgyz-Turkmen bilateral cooperation. The parties agreed to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Bishkek and Ashgabat.

Both sides discussed Bilateral Cooperation in the political, diplomatic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. In addition, the sides discussed issues of deepening trade and investment cooperation. Moreover, they also discussed the implementation of infrastructure projects, including trade, investment, and energy supplies. Also, both sides agreed to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technical, and Humanitarian Cooperation.
