Tirana, 30 October 2021 (TDI): Chinese State Counselor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Albania and met with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The Albanian Prime Minister emphasized bilateral relations. He said that Albania looks forward to strengthening the cooperation between the two states. He further stated that the two countries share a unique history of relations. Edi Rama also highlighted the role of Albania in restoring the Chinese lawful seat in the United Nations. He expressed that Albania is proud of its role in the restoration of the Chinese seat in the UN 50 years ago. They also discussed the historical relations between the two states in the meeting.
Chinese Foreign Minister said that China is committed to enhancing its cooperation with one of the traditional friends. He stated that China will never forget the support of Albania for the restoration of its lawful seat in the UN. He further said that China is willing to enhance cooperation with Albania in different fields. It would help to deepen the mutual trust of the two states. China looks forward to strengthening cooperation with Albania in the fields of infrastructure, economy, trade, and cultural exchanges. It also aims to create new channels for the cooperation of the two states.
China and Albania are two traditional friends. They enjoy close and friendly relations. The two countries support each other in regional and international affairs. They look forward to strengthening their relations by expanding cooperation.
