Kyrgyz Ambassador met with Chairman Senate

Islamabad, 2 December 2021 (TDI): On December 1, 2021, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev, met with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani.

During the conversation, the sides discussed issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, exchange of visits, and revitalizing of the activity of parliamentary friendship groups, development of trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev informed about important political changes that took place in Kyrgyzstan this year, the results of the referendum on a new constitution, elections of the President, and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. He offered the Pakistani side to more actively use the investment, trade, economic, and transit opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan share brotherly relations, and with this meeting, both of these brotherly nations want to enhance their bilateral ties in all fields especially in trade and economic spheres.

Pakistan was amongst the few earliest nations to accept Kyrgyzstan as a nation-state and marked their diplomatic relations in December 1991. Since then, the diplomatic and bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan has always remained on a good note.

During the meeting, the talks about the enhanced bilateral ties were also initiated. The meeting ended on a friendly note where both of the officials desired to further enhance their relations in all spheres of life, including trade, economics, investment and culture.
