Cairo, 2 December 2021 (TDI): Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez arrived in Cairo for a two-day official visit. Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Mustafa Madbouli received the guest at Cairo International Airport. Likewise, the Spanish Prime Minister led the delegation of the Spanish Ministry of Trade, government officials, and representatives of companies.
In the visit, officials of both countries have signed diaries of understanding, and cooperation protocols, in the commercial, economic and cultural fields.

Meeting between Egyptian President and Spanish Prime Minister
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in Ittihadiya palace, Cairo. Likewise, both discussed issues of common interest. These include Covid-19, trade, economy, tourism and Egypt exports to the Spanish market. In the end, both talked at the joint press conference.
Spanish Prime Minister Meeting With Egyptian Prime Minister
Spanish Prime Minister also held a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Mustafa Madbouli. Both officials discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral relations between Egypt and Spain. Moreover, they talked about regional issues and the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic in both countries.
Egyptian-Spanish Business Forum
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Mustafa Madbouli attended the Egyptian-Spanish Business Forum. Moreover, many ministers and officials from both countries also joined the forum. The forum provides the opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation between two countries.
Egyptian Prime Minister welcomed the Spanish delegation at the forum. Dr Mustafa invited the Spanish private sector to recognize the investment opportunities at the fourth-generation cities and Suez Canal Economic Zone. Besides, he welcomed the agreement for financial cooperation protocol of 400 million euros between two governments.
Egyptian Prime Minister also thanked the Spanish government for providing more than one million doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines. It helped the Egyptian government to tackle pandemic effectively.
The Spanish Prime Minister thanked Egyptian officials for the warm reception in Egypt. He emphasized that Egypt is a priority state for the Spanish government. Moreover, he talked about enhancing trade, investment and economic cooperation between two countries.
