Islamabad (TDI): Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, said that Kazakhstan is ready to strengthen regional trading blocks and enhance mutual cooperation.
He was speaking at a ceremony to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the 32nd Anniversary of ECO regional block expansion, organized by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
Atif Ikram Sheikh, President ECO-CCI and FPCCI, said that ECO is one of the most dynamic regional blocks globally, and the formation of the ECO platform is a milestone for promoting trade, business, and mutual relations among member countries.

Sheikh inaugurated the ECO-CCI President Secretariat and flag hoisting ceremony with diplomats from various countries. He said that member countries can increase mutual trade through business delegation exchanges and free trade agreements.
“We need to connect ECO member countries through economic corridors,” he emphasized, “Member countries should facilitate transportation, banking, and other sectors for each other’s business communities.”
Diplomats from other ECO member countries and officials from Pakistan’s Foreign Office also addressed the ceremony.
