Jordanian Foreign Minister attends 6th annual meeting of ECFR

Rome, 5 October 2021 (TDI): Ayman Safadi, the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs is in Italy to attend the sixth annual meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

The Minister is attending the meeting to review regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue and engage in multilateral level talks. Additionally, he also discussed the stability and security of the region and Europe’s role to ensure peace. Deliberation on prospects to further deepen the mutually beneficial partnership between Jordan and Europe was also the part of meeting agenda.

The ECFR or the European Council on Foreign Relations is an international think tank. It promotes informed debate on Europe’s role across the globe. Moreover, it provides a platform for decision-makers, influencers, and activists to brainstorm. It was launched in 2007 October. It has offices in seven European capitals and a team from the 27 EU member states.
