Jordan receives Sinopharm vaccines from China

Amman, 5 November 2021 (TDI): Jordan got 500,000 doses of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, which was supplied by China. This is the second batch of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine provided by China in Jordan, the first batch arrived in April 2021. The Chinese ambassador remarked that Jordanians’ great participation symbolizes their votes of confidence in the Chinese vaccine.

This symbolizes the strength of Jordan and China’s historical and strategic collaboration in many domains. Particularly health care, according to Firas Hawari, Minister of Health, during a ceremony at the Sports City’s vaccination facility in the presence of Chinese Ambassador Chen Chuandong. This gift, he noted, would boost Jordan’s national immunization program, which targets citizens, residents, and refugees. He thanked the Chinese ambassador for his government’s big contributions and support for Jordan in the battle against coronavirus. According to the Chinese Ambassador, Jordan and China’s coordination in combating the pandemic symbolizes the two nations’ deep relationship.
