Iran’s Ambassador met Pakistan’s FM for forging positive ties


Islamabad, 23 June 2023 (TDI): Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Amir Moghadam, made a friendly visit to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The basic purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Iran.


First, during the meeting, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated Amir Moghadam on his appointment as ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan.

This gesture showed mutual respect and also recognized the vital role that Ambassador Moghadam plays in fostering deeper diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Positive Trajectory

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Iran relations. Both sides showed optimism about the future trajectory of the bilateral relationship, which holds immense potential in various fields such as trade, energy, cultural exchange, and regional stability.

The Minister highlighted the importance of constructive exchanges. He also acknowledged the positive impact they have had on various areas of mutual interest.

High-Level exchange

In further discussion, the Foreign Minister underscored the importance of the high-level exchange between Iran and Pakistan. These exchanges serve as the foundation for developing trust, understanding, and cooperation at the highest levels of government.

Such exchanges facilitate ideas and people-to-people interaction and also enable effective coordination at the international level regarding mutual interests.

Both, the ambassador and Foreign Minister, concluded the meeting on a note of optimism, reaffirming their desire to work closely together for the betterment of relations between the two nations.
