ISLAMABAD (TDI): United State (US) agencies said that Iranian hackers forwarded emails comprising stole material from former President Donald Trump’s campaign to individuals associated with President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign to influence the upcoming US presidential election.
The US security agencies included FBI, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence reported in this regards.
Iranian Hackers
They said that since June, Iranian cyber actors have attempted to share non-public information with U.S. media outlets.
As part of a broader strategy to create discord and undermine confidence in the electoral process, they said.
The agencies confirmed that there is no evidence of responses from the email recipients and did not provide specific details about the stolen material.

In August, the U.S. accused Iran of conducting cyber operations targeting both presidential candidates and using influence tactics to escalate political tensions.
Iran has denied these allegations, labeling them as unfounded.
The emails reportedly reached Biden campaign associates in late June and early July, shortly before Biden announced his withdrawal from the race on July 21.
Polls indicate a tight race between Trump and Harris.

In response, Trump’s campaign has called for transparency regarding the use of any hacked material, with Trump accusing Iran of trying to interfere in the election to support Democrats.
