Iranian and Bangladeshi Foreign Ministers met in Tehran

Tehran, 7 August 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif held a meeting with State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Shahriar Alam in Tehran.

Alam is in Tehran on behalf of his government to attend the inauguration ceremony of Ebrahim Raisi, the newly elected President of Iran.

During the talk, both officials discussed areas such as bilateral relations, economic, cultural, and political ties between Bangladesh and Iran. Both Foreign Ministers reviewed on improving their relations among both states.

They also talked briefly about their collaborations in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Rohingya Refugees, Palestine issue, and regional communications.

Both representatives expressed their views on the grounds for promoting the bilateral ties and spheres for cooperation between Iran and Bangladesh.
