Islamic Relief USA or IR-USA is a Muslim non-proliferation 501 humanitarian Charity organization based in Alexandra, Virginia. Islamic Relief USA (IR-USA) was established in California, in 1993. They provide food donations to areas experiencing food insecurity. They also offer other humanitarian services such as medicines.

Falls Christ Church is a non-profit organization fighting against community food insecurity. They also supported the event. During this event hundreds of people received food.
Qurbani campaign
During the Qurbani and distribution of food, the 7News DC recorded the entire event and spread the news so that the other Muslims or citizens can also take fresh meat from there.
As part of an Islamic tradition known as Qurbani, Islamic Relief USA (IR-USA) also provided fresh meat and food at Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Northern Virginia.
Qurbani allows donors around the world to purchase freshly prepared cuts of meat. This also in turn supports vulnerable populations across the world.
Following the guidelines, the animals were slathered in a halal way and were distributed among Muslims. They also packed food in boxes and donated it to members of the community.
This comes after Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Adha, one of their major holidays.

According, to the Capital Area Food Bank, this distribution activity has contributed positively to people of color and families with children. These people experienced extreme food insecurity thanks to the pandemic.

Islamic Relief USA not only donated the food this time. They have donated food on various occasions as well. They provide relief to millions of people each year in more than 40 countries, including the USA. Like during Ramadan IR-USA, along with its volunteers pack hundreds of thousands of meals food needy people in the region.
