Islamabad, 7 February 2022 (TDI): Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan received Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The Prince landed today for an official visit to Pakistan. During the meeting, the Pakistani Prime Minister lauded the leadership role of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in promoting Islamic unity. Moreover, he acknowledged the endeavors of the KSA for regional peace and security.

Likewise, Imran Khan also praised the vision of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman for his progressive policies for the KSA’s prosperity as well as his valuable contribution to boosting ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Imran Khan especially appreciated Saudi Arabia for its steadfast support to Pakistan in difficult times and thanked the Saudi leadership for the current financial budgetary support extended to Pakistan.

In addition, Imran Khan condemned the Houthi militia attacks directed towards KSA. In this regard, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s complete support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Moreover, the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Saudi leadership in hosting a large Pakistani community. In the same vein, he underscored the necessity for further increasing people-to-people exchanges.

Touching upon the subject of the Agreement on Transfer of Offenders between the two countries, Imran Khan communicated his optimism about the repatriation of a large number of Pakistani inmates in KSA via this framework.

Whilst Prince Abdulaziz on his part communicated warm greetings of the Crown Prince to the Prime Minister and affirmed the close brotherly ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Furthermore, he also acknowledged Pakistan’s positive contribution to the development of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Interior Minister also enunciated resolve to work closely with Pakistan on all matters relating to his Ministry.
